Children's Page....
This page is for kids of all ages.
We've included web pages for children
but make sure your parents know
what you are up to.

Let's start with a quick quiz...
Which of these dogs do you think it is okay to pet????
The answers will be below the picture.

If you answered no to all but #5, then you are one smart kid!!!
Always remember...any dog may bite even if they look friendly.
Always ask the dog's owner if it is okay to pet the dog and
never pet a dog if the owner is not with the dog.

All Right, How About Another
Quiz???

Dog bites can be avoided when people act safely around dogs and
when owners behave responsibly. Look at each picture and write an
"S" in the boxes that show safe behavior and an "U" in the boxes
that show an unsafe behavior.  The answers will be below.

There are 4 safe things here... The girl at the top is playing catch with her dog.
The man walking his dog has a leash and the girl is asking if it okay to pet his
dog. The girl in the lower right corner is "being a tree" as she is being
approached by a strange dog.

There are 4 unsafe things here...At the top of the page, one girl is reaching for
the dog's food and the other girl is playing tug of war. At the bottom of
the picture one boy is running from a dog while another boy is trying to
pet a dog without the owner being present.
